Core Business Development and production of Infra Red detectors and cameras General infoXenICs is global market leader in innovative infrared detector and camera solutions for a wide range of industrial applications in spectroscopy, non-contact temperature measurement and smart imaging. XenICs designs, manufactures and markets infrared detectors, both linear and 2D arrays, as well as camera systems covering infrared wavelengths from 1 to 14 micrometer. XenICs delivers standard products and custom detector solutions according to specifications and project planning standards. In 2000, XenICs was established as a spin-off of the European microelectronics and nanotechnology researchcenter IMEC. OUR VISION XenICs is committed to develop and produce IR detectors and cameras for the near- , mid- and long-waveinfrared spectral range and hence open the spectroscopy, process control and thermal imaging market for a wide variety of applications. Activities & ProductsXenICs offers camera products in the near-infrared markets (XEVA) covering a wavelength range from 1 up to 2.5 µm based on its own InGaAs technology.XenICs is the only non-U.S. supplier of InGaAs focal plane arrays. The focal plane arrays have a resolution of 320 ? 256 or 640 ? 512 pixels whereas the linear cameras have either 256 or 512 pixels. InGaAs-based XEVA camera InGaAs Focal plane array XenICs also offers InSb cameras (XMID) operating in the the 3 to 5 µm wavelength range and micro-bolometer cameras (XPORT) operating in the 8 to 14µm wavelength range. InSb-Based XMID array Designed for Flexibility and Performance One of the key elements in applying IR imaging for, e.g., on-line process control applications, is the way the camera is operated by the user. Ease of operation has become a must and graphical user interfaces should provide for relatively simple access of image acquisition and control, including exposure time, selection of a low or a high gain mode, inverting the signal and different display modes. That is why more and more suppliers have started to offer their customers a software configuration together with the camera to allow for user-friendly operation. In order to change those settings, XenICsís cameras are equipped with control and communications circuitry based on USB 2.0 and compatible with Windows 2000/XP. As a result, users can benefit from a high degree of freedom in changing the settings of the camera, and hence are able to tune the camera functions much more to the application envisaged. |
